Special fans having two different types of certifications are manufactured for use in potentially explosive atmospheres:
UNI EN 13463-1:2009 and EN13463-5:2003 “Non-electrical equipment intended for use in potentially explosive atmospheres”; for the design of guards, reference was made to UNI EN ISO 12499:2009 “Mechanical safety of fans.
Protections” (which replaces UNI 10615:1997 and implements EN ISO 12499:2008 in its entirety).
All standard AERTECH/MZ ASPIRATORI fans that comply with the ATEX directive have been examined by the TUV NORD commission and have received the relative certification.
MZ Aspiratori can therefore supply these fans with both the usual Atex certificates, and also a Statement of conformity issued by Tüv Nord, acting as an external Certification body.
Atex certified fans are designed and built for use in zones classified as 1/21 and 2/22, and they are suitable for handling inflammable and combustible substances, in compliance with the provisions of the ATEX Directive 94/9/EC.
